Mobile & extension
Reach the same Ask conversations and agents outside the browser tab, on your phone or in a browser extension.
Prerequisites
- You can sign into Ask in your browser.
- Your phone, for scanning your organization's QR code during mobile setup.
Install the mobile app
Click Install at the bottom of the left navigation. It opens a short wizard, "Get Ask for your mobile", that walks you through:
-
Download the app. The Ask app (by AI71) is on the App Store and Google Play.
-
Scan your organization's QR code. The wizard shows a QR code unique to your org, which is how the app learns which deployment to talk to (your workspace may be hosted on your organization's own servers). Scan it from the app.
-
Sign in and set up. Sign in with the same account you use on the web. Your conversations and agents come with you.
Browser extension
The Ask browser extension lets you summon agents over any page, which is useful for summarizing the article you are reading or drafting a reply in another tool. See Browser extension for installation and behavior.
Other places Ask shows up
Channels are enabled per deployment by your admin, so your org may have some, all, or none of these:
- Slack bot: chat with Ask from your team Slack.
- Microsoft Teams bot: same idea, for Teams.
- Telegram & WhatsApp: for outward-facing assistants.
- Embeddable widget: Ask embedded on a partner website.
Tips & gotchas
Use the web app on your laptop and the mobile app on your phone, signed in with the same account, and your conversations sync across both.
