Organization settings
There is no longer a single "General" page; organization-level identity and defaults are spread across a few surfaces. This page tells you where each one went.
The former /settings/general page was removed in the mid-2026 Settings redesign. See the Admin console overview for the new layout.
Organization identity
Your org's name and logo appear on the card at the top of the profile menu (bottom-left profile icon). Click the pencil on that card to edit them.
Switching organizations
Users who belong to several orgs switch via the profile menu → Switch Organization. Each org is a separate tenant: separate users, agents, knowledge, and settings.
Email delivery
People & Access → Access → Email delivery controls which system Ask uses to send email to your users (invites, notifications). The default is AI71 via Mailchimp; enterprises can switch to their own SMTP. The Manage SMTP config permission gates who can change this.
Where the old "defaults" went
| Setting | Where it lives now |
|---|---|
| Allowed / default models | Capabilities → Model Settings: the org's model catalog with one model marked Default. See Pick a model. |
| Knowledge-base ingestion defaults | Data → Ingestion: parsing strategy, chunking strategy, embedding model, hybrid search. Set during initial tenant setup and locked afterwards. |
| UI language & theme | Per user, in Personal settings → Profile (English and Arabic are supported, including RTL). |
| Default agent for new conversations | Not found in the redesigned Settings. |
