Share & discover

Power user & admin

Publishing an agent isn't the same as sharing it. Use visibility settings to control who sees it, and the agent library to help your org find it.

Prerequisites

  • An agent draft, or an existing agent you can edit.

The Share dialog

Agents can be limited to you, shared with specific people or groups, or opened to your whole organization, all from the Share dialog ("Control who can use this agent and what they're allowed to do"). Open it from any of three places:

  • The @ icon on the agent's card in the library (tooltip Share agent).
  • The Share agent icon in the agent's detail drawer.
  • Inside the editor: ⋯ → Share.

In the dialog, use Search members and groups to stage recipients, pick each one's permission level, then confirm with Share. Nothing changes until you click it. The Who has access list below shows current access. Permission levels:

  • Org-wide (the "Everyone at …" row): No access, or Can use ("Can only chat with agent").
  • Individuals and groups: Can use, Can edit ("Can edit, share but not delete"), or Owner ("Full control: Edit, share & delete").

Discovery in the Agents library

When an agent is visible to others, it shows up in the Agents library at /agents. Three things drive whether colleagues actually find it:

  • Name. Make it specific. "Procurement PO Lookup" beats "Procurement Bot".
  • Description. Max 750 characters on the Settings tab. This is what users skim in the library, so write the elevator pitch.
  • Categories. The Categories combobox sets which filter chips your agent shows under. Use existing categories where you can, since they map to the chips in the library header. Recipients also find shared agents with the Shared with me filter.

There is currently no per-agent URL to copy: the way to give someone an agent is the Share button, not a link. Once shared, colleagues find it in the library (or via Shared with me) and chat from there.

Ownership & co-editing

  • An agent has an Owner, which is you when you publish. The drawer's Access section shows who holds which level.
  • People with Can edit can change and re-share the agent, but not delete it. Only an Owner can delete.
  • Anyone who can use an agent can start their own variant with Duplicate agent (in the drawer) and edit the copy.

Tips & gotchas

tip

List a few helpful agents by name in your team's onboarding doc and share them with the relevant group. Library discoverability is great, but a curated short list beats infinite scroll.

Heads up

Sharing an agent shares its attached knowledge and tools too. Check that every knowledge base and tool the agent uses is appropriate for the broader audience before changing visibility.
